How to get Property Identification Number by BBMP, Bangalore
To find your PID number, please follow these steps:
1) Go to the link http://bbmp.gov.in
2) Click on the tab 'GIS based new PID'
3) Go to the bottom of the page and click on 'To Know your New PID Click Here'
4) Enter the application number you used for your property tax payment /old PID No. and click on 'Search'.
5) Click on your name and then click 'Fetch'. You will get the details. Check for correctness. Copy/print this page for your records. (Note: BBMP GIS PID project is yet to be completed and if you do not get your new PID, do not worry. It will become available on the website this year, BBMP officials say.)
6) Click on the tab 'click here to view your property in GIS map'. You will get a Google Map of your area with your property details. Save/print for your records.
7) For corrections, you can contact your BBMP ward office.
8) Please note: In your property tax receipt for 2012-2013, this new PID number will also be given.

Jaggery making

Jaggery making (In telugu: Ganuga aadatam) is a long process for the forming community and the duration involves very long hard working days but lot of fun is possible as many folks will be working. Normally, the work involves: Cutting sugar cane, moving them from field to prep place, cleaning canes, crushing them through Crusher machine, moving cane juice to storage tank which is in the process of heating the juice, boiling pawn, making the jaggery to shapes, drying them, transporting them to home and keeping them in storage room. I spent many years working this (Ganuga aadatam) which is normally 30 to 50 days, yearly once, starts in Feb / Mar time frame of the year. Olden days, sugar cane was crushing using crushers powered by Oxes and later crushers were run using Diesel oil or Electricity. Kodipandem (Rooster / Cock fight)    It's very interesting, competitive and joyful event / game during summer holidays (Dec to May) in near by villages.
