11th Nov '21 (Thu): Two events :)

  • Data & AI Leadership Lunch (12:36pm to 3:06 pm) at Ministry of Food, Hilton, EGL campus
  • 3:15 - 4:45 pm Drinks party at Pool side, Hilton, EGL campus - Sanjay P, Goldy, Dhimant, Anup, Amitabh, Padmini & Mekala Reddy
  • Summary: Met most of them 1st time - friendly, joyful :)
12th Nov '21 (Friday): Two events
  • Send-off lunch (12:45 - 3:15pm) with Amar Kaka @ Nagarjuna Nakshatra, Double Road, B'lore (Amar, Manoj, Chaitanya, Vamsi, GB, Srini, Joy U & Mekala Reddy)
  • Drinks party with Ashok Reddy B at Pragati Club, B'lore
  • Summary: Painful to hear Amar (20 years peer plus 10 years close associate) is leaving Org :( , Am sure takes long time to build such vast experience & trusted person in the org.
13th Nov '21 (Saturday): Send-off Lunch (1 - 4:30pm) to Anantharaman Subramanian at 13th floor, Barton Center, MGRoad, B'lore (Ananth, AP, Pankaj, Kumar KM, Vasu & Mekala Reddy)
Summary: Ananth is one of the core leader who lead IBM India team  & having great network across IT globe :) [ Four out of Five are in today's gathering are my ex. Bosses :) ]

Summary: Mixed feeling - as some left, some leaving :( but decided to have continuous fun :)

Kodipandem (Rooster / Cock fight)    It's very interesting, competitive and joyful event / game during summer holidays (Dec to May) in near by villages. This event is traditionally followed and normally organized by local head / leader who manages the venue, shops and other activities (playing cards, drinks & ... ). Big People (Village heads) grow the roosters healthy to win  against rivals to show their power to win against rival families. Cockfights usually starts around 11 am to 11:50 am and continues till evening (~ 7pm) under huge Tree or set of tree's. But the program details were publicized few day's early or previous week / day based on different factors. In the Cockfight game involve: Cock owners, Knife owner, Knife tying person, Betting people and viewers. Jaggery making

Jaggery making (In telugu: Ganuga aadatam) is a long process for the forming community and the duration involves very long hard working days but lot of fun is possible as many folks will be working. Normally, the work involves: Cutting sugar cane, moving them from field to prep place, cleaning canes, crushing them through Crusher machine, moving cane juice to storage tank which is in the process of heating the juice, boiling pawn, making the jaggery to shapes, drying them, transporting them to home and keeping them in storage room. I spent many years working this (Ganuga aadatam) which is normally 30 to 50 days, yearly once, starts in Feb / Mar time frame of the year. Olden days, sugar cane was crushing using crushers powered by Oxes and later crushers were run using Diesel oil or Electricity. Eating stages of Jaggery process: Sugarcane, Juice, Paaku (when it is 70% completion), Lakkili (when it is ~90% completion), Jaggery. Watch Jaggery making video too, if interested :
