AP politics - May 2013

As per my knowledge & interactions with people in andhra pradesh, my views on key political leads expressed here on 2 May 2013:

My views on:
KiranKumar Reddy, CM, Andhra Pradesh: One of the clean, focused CMs, in India today. But lot of mess created by earlier CMs & Ministers should be cleaned / corrected.
           Focus on: Good telugu speaches & smile, Connecting sr. leaders & bridging dot's, Delegate to party on attacking other parties.
  Suggestions: Better to hire good orator to promote his (govt) best programs in public. Bring business (companies) to AP.
  Black marks: Clean as of now (holding tainted ministers in cabinet)

N Chandrababu Naidu, Leader, TeluguDesam Party: Sound politician with deep contacts across parties & nation. Good administrator and strategist.
Focus on:  Building strong party leaders - 2nd level, giving equal opportunity to all people (leave caste politics)
Suggestions: Better to connect with BJP or TRS
Black marks: Neglecting key communities (like Formers), Corrupt at top level.

Chandrasekhar Rao, Leader, TRS party: Strategist, crowd puller but lack party management
Focus on:  Reasonable manifesto, negotiating with 2nd level leaders
Suggestions: Control words, Connect people, build core team
Black marks: En-cashing people emotions, never stay on words, missing at key times :)

Jagan Reddy, Leader, YSR Cogress Party: Totally depending on Sympathy & money which can help for now but on long run. Need strong agenda with good leaders into party
Focus on:  Social service, spend own properties to build hospitals, educational institutions
Suggestions: Identify good leader and hand over party or merge with congress party after elections.
Black marks: un-ethical background, un-known agenda ??. Rumors shows  that he & his friend - Gali Janardhan Reddy planned to take karnataka & AP state's into their control but failed for now :)

May 2014 Actual situation:
  • AP state divided very badly by Congress, mainly Sonia, Chid, Diggy, Kamalnadh, Moily & Jairam R, SushmaSwaraj are reason @ Center. 
  • TDP+BJP combine own ~106 MLAs & YSRCP - ~66 ...in AP 
  • TRS own ~63, Cogress - ~22 & BJP+TDP - ~20 MLAs in Telangana

One of the most visited place in Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh. I think Boyakonda Gangamma temple receive most devotee's aftter Tirumala and Kanipakam. What is there ? Boyakonda is remote place with Gangamma temple on top of small stonny hill. The temple is popular to people in AP, Tamilnadu and Karnataka who believe Gangamma goddess.  When to Visit ? You can plan to visit all days but majority of pooja's and visitors prefer Sunday and Tuesday. Location : Boyakonda is located near Chowdepally (6 kms), on the way to Madanapalli (15 kms) and 12 kms from Punganur. Better to reach the place on your own vahicle because busses from Chowdepally, Madanapalli and Punganur are normally heavy crowded. Jaggery making

Jaggery making (In telugu: Ganuga aadatam) is a long process for the forming community and the duration involves very long hard working days but lot of fun is possible as many folks will be working. Normally, the work involves: Cutting sugar cane, moving them from field to prep place, cleaning canes, crushing them through Crusher machine, moving cane juice to storage tank which is in the process of heating the juice, boiling pawn, making the jaggery to shapes, drying them, transporting them to home and keeping them in storage room. I spent many years working this (Ganuga aadatam) which is normally 30 to 50 days, yearly once, starts in Feb / Mar time frame of the year. Olden days, sugar cane was crushing using crushers powered by Oxes and later crushers were run using Diesel oil or Electricity. KodiPandem

Kodipandem (Rooster / Cock fight)    It's very interesting, competitive and joyful event / game during summer holidays (Dec to May) in near by villages. This event is traditionally followed and normally organized by local head / leader who manages the venue, shops and other activities (playing cards, drinks & ... ). Big People (Village heads) grow the roosters healthy to win  against rivals to show their power to win against rival families. Cockfights usually starts around 11 am to 11:50 am and continues till evening (~ 7pm) under huge Tree or set of tree's. But the program details were publicized few day's early or previous week / day based on different factors. In the Cockfight game involve: Cock owners, Knife owner, Knife tying person, Betting people and viewers.
